JoCo Residents at or Below 200% of Poverty Level

% of Johnson County Residents at or below 200% federal poverty level. The federal poverty level is set using both annual income and household size. 200% of the federal poverty level is double the federal poverty level for a given household size. Target is based on a decrease from prior year percentage.
Peopled above the poverty threshold remain low income and are often in need of, and eligible for, government assistance. Programs using guidelines above 100% poverty thresholds to determine eligibility include Head Start, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), the National School Lunch Program, the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program, and the Children’s Health Insurance Program.
